Workshop on Developing Guidelines and Criteria for Green Space Design in AP’s Approach.
14 January 2025
On December 20, 2024, Mr. Witthakan Chantawimon, Chief of Corporate Strategy and Creation, led the Product Design and Development and Landscape teams in a brainstorming session to develop AP’s unique green space criteria. These criteria are aligned with biodiversity principles, promoting organizational strength and sustainability. The initiative focuses on creating green spaces within property developments that support ecosystems, provide essential ecosystem services, and enable diverse life forms to thrive sustainably.
Participants gained valuable insights into biodiversity and the integration of green infrastructure concepts into landscape design for green spaces. The workshop highlighted the importance of fostering urban biodiversity and living in harmony with the community. These insights were shared by Dr. Pornwiwan Pothasin, a botany and ecology expert from Mahidol University.
Additionally, there was an exchange of knowledge, ideas, and working procedures among the teams, accompanied by discussions on design principles and limitations. This collaborative brainstorming session, aimed at establishing guidelines and criteria for green space development, was facilitated by Dr. Chuthamas Sukonthapatipak, an expert in ornithology and a lead facilitator from Mahidol University.
The event not only deepened participants understanding of biodiversity and sustainable design but also served as a platform for knowledge exchange and collaborative thinking, strengthening the potential of all teams. We sincerely thank everyone who participated in this workshop.
Let’s work together to create sustainable green spaces for a better future.
