Waste management is one of the ways to care for the environment, starting from our own homes. But did you know that home design and community management also play a significant role in driving effective change?

AP Thailand has integrated this concept into its ESG framework with the ECOBIN waste management innovation. By designing centralized waste management areas in our projects, we ensure that waste is disposed of properly, creating cleaner and healthier living spaces. This also effectively reduces environmental impacts such as pollution and unpleasant odors.

One of the significant environmental (E) benefits of waste management is the emphasis on proper waste separation. We categorize waste into four types:

1. Recyclable dry waste
2. Non-recyclable dry waste
3. Recyclable wet waste
4. Hazardous waste

Waste separation and designated disposal areas significantly reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills. In addition to reducing pollution, this also helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming.

Through a pilot project in 30 projects, including Baan Klang Muang The Edition, Baan Klang Muang, Pleno, and Pleno Town, AP has been able to recycle up to 793.6 kilograms of waste, equivalent to planting 136 trees and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 1,295.6 kilograms.

From a social (S) and governance (G) perspective, our waste management approach not only promotes community well-being but also fosters a culture of sustainability through sustainable practices.

Regular waste collection and separation prevent health issues and encourage residents to engage in environmentally friendly behaviors.

To demonstrate our commitment to the environment and society, we have a process in place to regularly monitor and track the amount of waste collected and recycled, ensuring transparency and progress.

With initiatives like ECOBIN, AP Thailand continues to pave the way for sustainable living—because meaningful change starts at home.
